Lately, I’m focused on the direct method of painting. The direct method means no prep drawing. I just go straight into the painting and observation. The direct method feels so relaxed and effortless. Using the direct method, I will spot an awkward moment in my creation. I love the awkward moments though.

I joined an outdoor drawing class at North Seattle College! The group of artists are friendly and the instructor Sarah is so calm and knowledgeable. I realized that I’ve never really taken a proper landscape class, and I pleased to be drawing on the North Seattle College campus. The image on the left was done in class with ink.
